Simulation education faculty development and innovation in healthcare and education in low-and middle-income countries: A survey of practices, barriers and facilitators

The results of this survey will be utilised to create more enabling opportunities for faculty development, resources, and opportunities to disseminate simulation innovations and practise for shared learning.

This survey is being conducted as a collaborative project between the African Simulation Network / Simulation in Healthcare for African Research and Education (SHARE)  Inititiative, Society for Simulation in Chile (SOCHIM), Morroco Sim, PediSTARS in India and the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM).

This survey is also available in Spanish and French. Please email jo.park-ross@uct.ac.za for any queries!

Simulation education is a crucial educational methodology in healthcare, and there is limited literature to describe simulation in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs). Through this survey, we are aiming to create a greater understanding of simulation faculty development, resources, and innovation in LMICs, as well as facilitators and barriers to sharing innovation for LMIC educators.

The results of this survey will be utilised to create more enabling opportunities for faculty development, resources, and opportunities to disseminate simulation innovations and practise for shared learning.

Your contribution would be greatly valued!
